The Judy Bonnet
Volunteer Program

Our volunteer program is named in memory of Judy Bonnet, a longtime volunteer who embodied what it meant to be a force for good in our community. A great rule-of-thumb to be a successful volunteer is to follow in just a few of Judy's footsteps:

  • have a caring and positive attitude toward everyone

  • help without being judgmental

  • do your best to always do good

We look forward to having you on our team, where we're all trying to "Be Like Bonnet"!

Judy volunteered 7,500+ hours,

always with a smile on her face.

WELCOME!

New Volunteers

Getting Started

Volunteers are essential to our mission of feeding and clothing our neighbors, and we are always looking to add to our volunteer team! New volunteers are provided with orientation, training, and mentoring.
If you'd like to explore our volunteer opportunities, follow the steps below.

complete a shadow shift

After orientation, sign up for a Shadow Shift and learn from volunteers in a low-pressure environment.

Your Shadow Shift will be for the position you're most interested in, but this doesn't mean you're "locked in" to that role.

4

EXPLORE our opportunities!

There are many ways to stay involved at the Pantry as often or as little as you'd like. We invite you to explore different areas to see what is a good fit. After your Shadow Shift, you can volunteer with the Food Pantry, Community Closet, Grocery Delivery, pantry events, and more!
