Shopping at the Pantry

First Time Shopping

USDA foods are available to anyone who is eligible without providing any additional information including an address, birth dates of household members, and received benefits of household members.

When you first arrive at the Pantry, a volunteer or staff member will help you set up your account. We will ask you for your address and the names, birth dates, income, and received benefits* of everyone who lives with you. (*This information does NOT impact the amount or kind of food you will receive.)

The staff member will go through a registration form, explain the guidelines and expectations, and give you a tour of the Pantry. Each family is given one cart and can shop for food once a week Monday-Saturday. All information provided is confidential.

Shopping

You can shop or receive grocery delivery once per week, Monday-Saturday
You can shop at our Clothing Pantry throughout the month until you receive your:
- 10 items of clothing per family member every month
- 1 brand new pair of socks per family member every month
- 1 brand new pair of underwear per family member every month
Follow the one-way shopping system and stay with your cart in the shopping room
We have no limits on food, but all items need to fit in your shopping cart
Any children need to stay with their parent and cart
You are eligible for laundry detergent once every 60 days

General Expectations

Treat staff, volunteers, and neighbors with dignity and respect
Keep your pantry Family Card with you when you shop
Do not arrive before we open (to avoid lines)
Residency is not required to access USDA foods, but we will ask you to provide proof of address annually
Do not smoke on the pantry’s property
Help maintain a safe environment by not making threats, bringing weapons, etc.
